How to convert your 1Gb memory card to 2Gb?? Here are few simple steps to do so...

This is really working!!! The other day I was surfing the net for some information to update my blog and came up with this one. This is really interesting and I personally tried this application. It is a simple technique to convert your 1Gb memory card to 2Gb. This just needs a 1Gb card and a software called "Skimedi Fix 2GB Capacity"
which can be searched in Google. If you find it difficult then ill be posting the download link at the end of this post. Do download it and try it.

Here are a few simple steps to convert your 1Gb memory card to 2Gb :

1. Make sure that you have a 1Gb memory card.(Note: other cards other than 1Gb don't work in this)
2. The info in your card should have a backup as we may have to format it.

3) After you take a backup of your files in the card, Run the "Skimedi Fix 2GB Capacity" application.
4) A window will pop up showing the FIX and Cancel option. You need to browse the drive where it is located

5) After selecting the drive press on FIX and then the updating process starts. It'll ask a conformation on disk formatting. click YES.
6) After formatting, it'll ask you to reinsert the device. Just reinsert the memory stick card. The size of the memory will be increased from 1Gb to 2Gb. you can check the properties.
7) also you can test the size by copying all the data around 2Gb.

(I personally tested this and now i have a 2Gb instead of 1Gb.)

9) You can reopen the Skimedi Fix and select the drive again where it shows us the size as 1912mb which is nothing but 2Gb.
10) Some times we get a parameter error while copying the files which have crossed the 1Gb size so this may not be 100% successful.

Here is the link to download the software:
